I've completed cleaning my library and found out that I had more than 400 books on self-help.
Besides the fact that I've contributed to someone else's wealth, I'm wondering if I've really changed, if I've really learned anything...
The simple fact is, I have. I do believe my life is better because of these books. I'm more successful, more interested (hopefully more interesting too,) and definetly a sucker for life and beyond.
Going through them, I realised that I've read classics as well as unknown authors. Of the two, the classics have played a more important role partly because they were social phenomenon (I could relate to a lot of statements people made.)
The unkown authors have had their place too and I often realised that the knowledge famous authors used, and made money from, we taken in part from these earlier unknowns.
One last note, the self-help movement is prone to abuse and you're better off reading this book when you begin your journey to a better you:
