We need logic to make sense of the world we live in. It helps us decide right from wrong (as those two change often.) It shows us the way forward by letting us evaluate options. It helps us write a story or successfully defend an opinion. It's a great decision tool and is used in pretty much every endeavour you can think of.
Let's say it, logic is a gift of the gods. Without it, we'll go mad.
The problem is that we all have our own form of logic. To us, the way we think is the right logic. It's a mixture of who we are at birth and the environment we live in (especially the kindergarten we come from.) As we grow older, we adapt our logical thinking to suit our needs as well as to reflect the current way of thinking or the last new idea we received (ideas are powerful logic breakers and makers.)
Being aware of what form of logic we own, how to adapt it, how not to be blinded by it, is a powerful skill. Being such a powerful force in our lives, it's bizarre that we don't keep on learning about it as we mature....
